MERLINE LOVELACE spent twenty-three years in the United States Air Force, serving tours of duty in Vietnam, the Pentagon, and as commander of Eglin Air Force Base. She graduated magna cum laude from Ripon College and has attended Middlebury College and Princeton, Troy State, and Harvard universities. Merline Lovelace lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, who is also a retired Air Force colonel.
