Kate Atkinson

Kate Atkinson, originally from York, currently resides in Edinburgh. Her debut novel, Behind the Scenes at the Museum, was the recipient of the prestigious Whitbread Book of the Year Award. In addition to her successful first novel, Atkinson has also penned a collection of short stories titled Not the End of the World, as well as several well-received novels including Human Croquet, Emotionally Weird, Case Histories, and One Good Turn. One of her most popular works, Case Histories, introduced readers to the character Jackson Brodie, a former police inspector who becomes a private investigator. This book not only won the Saltire Book of the Year Award but also the Prix Westminster, solidifying Atkinson's reputation as a top-tier author in the literary world.
