Clare Mackintosh

Clare Mackintosh has a diverse background, having spent twelve years in the UK police force where she worked in CID and as a public order commander. In 2011, she made the decision to leave the police force and pursue a career as a freelance journalist and social media consultant. Today, Clare is a full-time writer. Her first novel, I Let You Go, was a huge success, becoming a Sunday Times Bestseller and the fastest-selling title by a new crime writer in 2015. It also won the Richard and Judy Book Club readers' vote, and was featured on ITV's Loose Women's 'Loose Books'. In addition to her writing career, Clare is also the founder of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival. She currently resides in the Cotswolds, UK, with her husband and their three children.
