Steve Cavanagh

Steve Cavanagh hails from Belfast and spent his formative years there before venturing to Dublin to pursue a degree in Law when he turned eighteen. With a specialization in civil rights law, he has taken on numerous high-profile cases throughout his career. One notable case from 2010 involved representing a factory worker who was subjected to racial abuse at work; Cavanagh secured the largest damages for race discrimination in the legal history of Northern Ireland. Aside from his legal work, he also holds a certificate in Advanced Advocacy and enjoys sharing his knowledge on various legal topics, often injecting humor into his lectures. Family-oriented, Cavanagh is a married man with two young children. Recognized for his talent, he was chosen as part of the Amazon Rising Stars programme in 2015 and received the ACES award in the same year from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
