Sandra Brown

Sandra Brown, born on March 12, 1948 in Waco, Texas and raised in Ft. Worth, graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in English. She started her career as a contributing feature reporter at the nationally syndicated PM Magazine in Dallas.

After marrying Michael Brown, a former television anchorman, and raising two children, Rachel and Ryan, Sandra continued her occasional work as a showroom model in Dallas. Her husband's encouragement led her to pursue fiction writing while their children were at school. With his own career change from news anchor to forming a production company, he believed Sandra should also take a creative risk.

Since the release of her debut novel in 1981, Sandra has written over sixty books. Her works have sold over fifty million copies, with numerous appearances on the New York Times bestseller list. From 1990 onwards, every one of Sandra's novels has made it onto the list, totaling over thirty appearances in total.
