Samantha Shannon, a native of west London, entered the world in the year 1991. At a mere fifteen years old, she embarked on her writing journey. It wasn't until the years 2010 to 2013 that she delved into the realms of English Language and Literature at St Anne's College, Oxford. The year 2012 brought her to the attention of The Women of the Future Awards, where she was a finalist for The Young Star Award. Her debut novel, The Bone Season, has since been embraced by readers in twenty-one different countries.
