Kenny Soward
Welcome to my cozy corner on the internet. My name is Kenny Soward, and I wear many hats - author, musician, and former IT professional. I dabble in various sub-genres of Science Fiction and Fantasy, including post-apocalyptic tales, military science fiction, epic fantasy adventures, and spine-chilling horror stories. My writing style is heavily influenced by some of the greats like Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling, Mark Lawrence, Dan Simmons, Robin Hobb, Robert McCammon, Larry Correia, and Mike Kraus.
I have a deep appreciation for all types of movies and TV shows, ranging from the thrilling Battle Star Galactica (the reboot version) to the spine-tingling series, The Walking Dead. I'm always up for trying new things and exploring different genres.
My childhood was spent in Kentucky, in a small neighborhood just south of Cincinnati, Ohio. I have fond memories of listening to hard rock music and enjoying the great outdoors. Growing up in the peaceful streets of the 1970s, I spent my days riding bikes, playing Nerf football, and, of course, getting a fair share of battle scars.
A sense of duty and honor has always been ingrained in me, thanks to the service of my grandfather, uncles, and cousins in the United States Military, and my father's role as a Kentucky State Trooper. Their selfless actions have taught me the value of sacrifice and the importance of gratitude. With a keen interest in the world around me, I strive to infuse my stories with the same fervor for life that fuels my curiosity, even in the darkest of narratives.
