Jen Julian, a transient North Carolinian, is not only a writer and artist but also a highly educated individual with a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and an MFA in Fiction from UNC Greensboro. Her debut short story collection, Earthly Delights and Other Apocalypses, was awarded Press 53’s 2018 Short Fiction Prize. In addition to this achievement, Jen's recent works have been featured in prestigious publications such as TriQuarterly, Beecher’s Magazine, The Greensboro Review, The Chattahoochee Review, and Cleaver. As a Clarion alumna from 2016, she has a deep appreciation for fairy tales, cats, cephalopods, time travel, Hieronymus Bosch, Henry Darger, and the intriguing complexities of the human brain.
