Ann Patchett

Ann Patchett, born on December 2, 1963, is a highly acclaimed American author who has received numerous awards for her work. In 2002, she was awarded the Orange Prize for Fiction and the PEN/Faulkner Award for her novel Bel Canto. Patchett's impressive body of work also includes novels such as The Patron Saint of Liars, Taft, and The Magician's Assistant, which was a finalist for the Orange Prize. In addition to her literary accolades, Patchett has been honored with a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship and was named the Nashville Banner Tennessee Writer of the Year in 1994.
